Elio Sandri makes wine at his Cascina Disa, a balcony overlooking the Perno vineyards that face the end of the ridge gently sloping down from Serralunga d'Alba towards Alba. Elio's approach to viticulture and winemaking techniques is far from interventionist: no synthetic products are used in the vineyard, and attention is focused on product quality. Each vintage is different and must be interpreted in its own way. This Barbera comes from a small, fresh vineyard just above the winery and combines the crystalline purity of its dark fruits with an astonishing freshness and body.
