Barbaresco "Rombone" 2018

Renato Fenocchio's Barbaresco Rombone is produced in Neive, from the only vineyard that Renato and Milva own in the municipality of Treiso.

Rombone, as we know, is a land of great wines; it is probably the grand cru of Treiso, along with a few others. Here, the marl gives way to sandy veins, and the wines manage to express both complexity and savoriness. This is a historic vineyard for the Fenocchio family, as, despite being replanted in 1997, it was originally owned by Renato's grandfather. Definitely suitable for those seeking wines of great structure.

The Winery: Renato Fenocchio

Renato and Milva Fenocchio live in Neive, where they have run the family business since 1993. The total vineyard area is about 11 hectares, all managed organically in the municipalities of Neive, Barbaresco, and Treiso. Renato is first and foremost a farmer, and he considers a sustainable approach to vineyard work extremely important, where new cultivation techniques and prevention against fungi or vine pests are increasingly being used. The cellar operations are always aimed at the maximum expression of the grape variety: the grapes are stressed as little as possible, and enological techniques are never invasive. Renato and Milva are true wine artisans, driven by an incredible passion for the land and its fruits.
