The Winery: Mark Haisma
Mark Haisma is an Australian producer who has definitively settled in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy. Here, in the heart of the Cote de Nuits, Mark cultivates his own vineyards and also buys grapes from a few trusted local winemakers. His style focuses on seeking Burgundian tradition, purity, and cleanliness, with an eye towards free vinification. Mark is very cautious in his use of wood, introducing about 10-20% new barriques each year, while expertly managing the rest. His wines are always balanced, structured, and pleasant to drink.
