Forlini Cappellini's Cinqueterre Bianco is a white wine made from a blend of grapes grown on the terraces of the Cinque Terre, in Liguria.
Having been born in Tuscany, the Cinque Terre has always been a regular stop for me during spring, the first warm days, Easter Monday, May Day, etc. The charm of those villages perched just a stone's throw from the sea undoubtedly captivates everyone, but it is equally incredible how much effort goes into the viticulture practiced in these lands, so much so that it is defined as heroic. Forlini Cappellini's Cinqueterre is produced from a Vermentino base to which other native grapes, such as Bosco and Albarola, are added. A drink as beautiful as it is fascinating, which immediately transports our thoughts to the sea, to those iodized and Mediterranean scrub scents, to those winds that can be felt on the terraces of Liguria. A tear and nostalgia for adolescence, as far as I'm concerned.
