The 2022 Cigliano di Sopra Chianti Classico is undoubtedly one of the labels I've been enjoying the most lately. A perfectly centered Sangiovese, full of fruit, juice, and perfectly balanced in its acidity. Despite the warm vintage, it exudes freshness from every pore. It is produced with Sangiovese grapes and other authorized varieties for the denomination, grown in the estate's vineyards located among the hills of the Siena province. Vinification takes place with fermentation in stainless steel and a brief aging period in large barrels or stainless steel, to preserve the fruity character and the typical freshness of Chianti.
