Bramaterra 2020

Bramaterra 2020 by Antoniotti is a red wine produced in Alto Piemonte with Nebbiolo and other local red grape varieties.

Nebbiolo and indigenous grape varieties such as Croatina, Vespolina, and Uva Rara, give life to a rich and deep Bramaterra, with innate elegance, a monument in the wine landscape of Alto Piemonte. The winemaking process is traditional: the grapes are harvested and brought to the winery; destemming and crushing are followed by spontaneous fermentation in underground vitrified cement tanks. Aging then continues in oak barrels for 30 months.

The Winery: Antoniotti

A symbolic winery in the Northern Piedmont wine scene, the winery of Odilio Antoniotti is now successfully carried forward by his son Mattia. We are in Sostegno, a small village a few kilometers from Gattinara, in one of the most suggestive landscapes of the area. The winery has remained small over time, with a production of around twenty thousand bottles thanks to the cultivation of 5 hectares of vineyards. In the cellar, winemaking is traditional, with fermentations proceeding with indigenous yeasts only and aging exclusively in large barrels. The wines are neither filtered nor clarified.
