Vietti is a historic Barolo winery, located in Castiglione Falletto. The Vietti family has been producing wine since the 60s when Luciana Vietti marries Alfredo Corrado thus giving rise to one of the most important production excellence of this denomination. The vineyards are among the most important: Rocche di Castiglione, Ravera, Brunate and Lazzarito have always stood out among the MGA of Barolo. With the 2016 Baroli vintage, the 100/100 award by Antonio Galloni for the Barolo Ravera 2016 is recognized at the Vietti winery

Vinification: fermentation in steel for 3-4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation carried out partly in steel, partly in barriques. Ages 2 years in barriques and oak barrels

Nebbiolo Perbacco by Vietti is an historical Langa label. Probably one of the nebbiolo that you find in almost all winebars and restaurants. Produced with Nebbiolo grapes, it expresses menthol, herb and spice notes.

Vinification: ferments 4 weeks in part in steel, ceramic and wooden vats. It does not carry out malolactic fermentation and ages for 10 months on fine lees with repeated batonnage

The 2018 vintage is the first produced by Vietti with its Derthona, from Timorasso grapes grown in Alexandrian, in Monleale , home of this grape variety. Fermented and aged in different containers: ceramic, wood and steel. The nose is very rich, a symptom that will only improve in the future. Presents hints of ripe apple and yellow flowers, saline, marine notes. The flavor is then found in the mouth, supported by a pleasant freshness.

Vietti's Barbera d'Alba 2017 is aged for one year in mixed-sized woods. Precisely for this reason it results a round Barbera, of moderate acidity and smoothed by the aging in wood.

Vines: Nebbiolo 100%
Alcohol: 14%
Vineyards: the grapes come from vineyards scattered in the various municipalities of the Barolo area, with the age of the vines between 9 and 42 years. The soil is on average calcareous-clayey.
Vinification: all the plots are vinified separately and then assembled. Fermentations take place in steel and then the wine ages for 30 months in oak barrels

Vietti's Barolo Castiglione 2016 is the entry barolo, the least complex but not for this reason of inferior quality. It expresses the whole territory of Barolo, with elegance and finesse
