The winery is located in a particularly challenging area for vine cultivation, due to the continental climate that alternates very hot days with cool nights. However, Domaine des Ardoisieres' vineyards are located on steep slopes at about 500 meters above sea level, meaning they benefit from the unique terroir made of clayey soils and slate from which the winery takes its name. The winemakers' care and dedication to cultivating indigenous grapes, such as Jacquère, Altesse, Mondeuse, and Pinot Noir, along with sustainable and organic farming techniques, have allowed the winery to produce wines of great personality and international recognition. Currently, the winery cultivates about 17 hectares of vineyards, divided into individual sectors to enhance the unique character of each terroir. The winery produces white, red, and rosé wines, characterized by great freshness and minerality.
