It is in this year that Alice and Cristina, helped by their parents, released their first bottled vintage. In the past, the wine was sold in bulk in demijohns, and many of the grapes that are now harvested and pressed were once supplied to local wineries. The Barolo del Comune di Monforte is produced entirely in the Perno subzone, where the grapes are left to ferment in steel without the use of selected yeasts.
